Please note that there is no General Meeting on 17th January but there IS an Annual General Meeting on the 24th January
SWLA landlord accreditation
Accreditation courses
In conjunction with Plymouth City Council and Training for Professionals, the SWLA will be holding two one-day courses on accreditation. The dates are Wednesday 28th September and Thursday 24th November and 2nd February 2012 in the Astor room at the Plymouth Guildhall. A one-day course will be £50.
Plymouth City Council will be offering £60 discount on EACH HMO licence if the licence holder is accredited.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO EPCs IN ENGLAND AND WALES
Changes to the legislation on Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) mean from 1st July 2011 an EPC must be available (within 7 days of marketing) or have been ordered on all properties that are being marketed for rent.

In addition, the full EPC will need to be attached to all written particulars from October 2011.

Current requirements mean an EPC needs to be available 28 days after marketing of the property has begun and only the graphs need to be attached to the property particulars.

Fees for Possession have risen to £175 as from April.
The online fee for arrears remains at £100 BUT you must serve a full up to date arrears history within 7 days of submitting the application on line.
