As we enter the cold and wet season, Plymouth’s Cold and Damp Homes Taskforce is hosting a city wide Housing Expo aimed at supporting private rented sector landlords in maintaining warm, safe, and good quality homes.
The event will bring together key organisations and partners from across the city to offer practical advice, training opportunities, and support services in light of upcoming legislative changes, including the Renters Rights Bill.
Key themes of the expo include:
- Preventative approaches to keeping homes warm and free from damp and mould.
- Guidance for landlords on maintaining property standards and accessing local support.
- Services for landlords to signpost tenants to – who offer additional help and advice.
- Opportunities for landlords to sign up to free training to help landlords understand their current and future responsibilities under new legislation.
“This expo is about equipping landlords with the tools and knowledge they need to provide safe, warm, and healthy homes. With winter approaching and new legislation on the horizon, it’s more important than ever to work together to support tenants and improve housing standards across the city.”
The event will feature stands and keynote speakers from a range of local and national organisations, offering insights into best practice and compliance.
